In mythology, Diana is the goddess of the hunt, the moon, and the forest — but also the protector of women.

Her sacred spaces were places where women could exist beyond the reach of male authority, bound instead by loyalty, companionship, and shared freedom.

In this portrait, two women stand in quiet embrace. One looks toward the other; the other meets the viewer’s gaze. Their bodies are naked yet guarded, revealing intimacy without surrendering vulnerability.

Behind them, soft green lines gather into a vignette reminiscent of a forest — the ancient domain of Diana, where women could exist beyond judgment.

This work becomes a quiet ode to sapphic devotion: a sanctuary of loyalty, tenderness, and chosen belonging.
