Bloom represents that precise and poetic moment when childhood gently fades away, giving way to the woman she is becoming. Against a vibrant chartreuse background, a young woman looks at us, calm but confident, holding two pots of tulips in her arms—flowers that herald the first days of spring. Her face, with its delicate pale pink whiskers and small heart-shaped nose, echoes childhood games and fading innocence. She is gentle, but she knows. She stands tall, ready to blossom.
Tulips, the first flowers of spring, symbolize rebirth, awakening, transition. Bloom is literally that moment of blossoming—that of a young woman still cradled by memories of her childhood, but resolutely turned toward the future. The facial details (whiskers and rabbit nose) evoke playfulness, imagination, and innocence, but also the courage it takes to grow up. This work is a tender tribute to the in-between: neither child nor adult, but already whole.
About the collection — My Memory Garden
My Memory Garden is a collection of works inspired by childhood memories, maternal heritage, and tender moments engraved in the heart. Each portrait, framed in a vintage style, celebrates imperfect, free, and deeply human women. The repeated lines in the background evoke memory, mortality, and the traces left by those who came before us.
